The Grsht’za’i are (for want of a better term) a ‘sect’ of M’rowan warriors who hold to the belief that they can augment their personal aza’i by defeating enemies in combat and absorbing their aza’i.
The members of Grsht’za’i are viewed with considerable suspicion by the M’rowan clan leaders and mainstream society, as their predilection for personal combat clashes with the more pragmatic attitude preferred by most M’rowans. The Grsht’za’i are by far most common in Clan Cruz’zht, where they have sympathizers deep in the clan leadership. For instance, the Cruz’zht member of the Commonwealth Council, Councillor Thaxos is a well-known member of the group.
Grsht’za’i can often be recognized by the small collections of trophies from their defeated enemies with which they adorn their clothes. These trophies can frequently be quite macabre.
